Spider-Man: Far From Home has become Sony’s biggest hit ahead of Skyfall, thanks Avengers: Endgame

Spider-Man now dominates the Sony studio business, with more than 1.1 billion harvested at the box office in the wake of Avengers: Endgame where which you can watch it for free or watch movies online free at Solarmovie1.

It took 23 adventures for James Bond to cross the billion mark, with Skyfall in 2012. It took so many movies at the MCU before the spider-man flew to the highest with Spider-Man: Far From Home – knowing that he was also entitled to three versions and 7 films to achieve this, since Spider-Man of Sam Raimi in 2002.

And with more than 1,102 billion harvested at the box office, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming has become the biggest success of the Sony studio, in front of Skyfall (1.108 billion) or Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle (962.1 million ).

Of course, Spider-Man: Far From Home did not get there alone: it benefited from the monstrous success of Avengers: Endgame, which has become the biggest hit of all time with 2.795 billion. The blockbuster, released two months earlier, boosted the score of Peter Holland’s second Tom Holland version, sold as the true conclusion of the MCU’s Phase 3, with Tony Stark’s specter hovering over the story.

Far From Home was born as part of an agreement between Sony (which holds the rights of the character) and Marvel Studios. After the subtle success of The Amazing Spider-Man: The Fate of a Hero, Sony wanted to relaunch the character via the MCU. Spider-Man version Tom Holland has arrived, with on one side solo films and on the other, appearances at the Avengers.

For solo films, Sony finances and distributes, and Marvel Studios (who participated in creative choices, such as casting) recovers merchandising revenue. A gain in size, Disney having for example amassed more than 54.7 billion nothing with that.

With 1.1 billion, Spider-Man: Far From Home is the biggest hit of the spider-man in the world, ahead of Spider-Man 3 (890.9 million), Spider-Man: Homecoming (880.2 million) ), Spider-Man (821.7 million), Spider-Man 2 (783.8 million), The Amazing Spider-Man (757.9 million), and The Amazing Spider-Man: The Fate of a Hero (709) million). The magic Spider-Man: New Generation has raised about 375 million. With inflation, it’s very different: the trilogy of Sam Raimi remains in the lead.

Sony intends to exploit the arachnid vein, beyond the MCU. After the incredible success of Venom calling a Venom 2, the studio launched Morbius with Jared Leto, preparing a slew of series around Spider-Man and hundreds of other characters from the universe, and evoked many other projects like Silk, Jackpot, Silver & Black, or Nightwatch.

There is still a film in the context of this Sony-Marvel agreement, which will be a solo adventure, still undated, but already teased by the director Jon Watts. A priori, it will be for Phase 5, since Phase 4 has been announced, and will start at the end of April 2020 with Black Widow.
